Meet Walker - The get-away pup

Walker is a 3 year old collie, hound, shepherd, god knows what else cross. He grew up in a home with over 40 other dogs, he was a victim of a hoarder. Because of this, he was left traumatized, unsocialized and is now a fully grown 3-year-old puppy that has a whole lot to learn about 'real life'.

Regardless of how terrified he is of all the new things he is now experiencing everyday, he remains gentle, loving and slowly becoming affectionate. He is learning to not only trust, but seek humans.

On Tuesday as he was being walked (and making great progress), unfortunately a truck drove me and scared him. He broke loose and bolted all the way from Westmount to NDG. Within 30 minutes of it happening we had people across the city looking for him, swapped the area with posters and corss-posted online through hundreds of people across Montreal (and as far as Florida!). We did not find him before night fall, and did out last round of looking for him at 12am. Thankfully our extensive efforts worked, and the next morning he had been found hiding between two cars in a garage. We were contacted immediately, as there was probably not a person in the area that did not know we were looking for him. He was returned safe and sound, went to the clinic to make sure he was all right and then was microchipped incase this happens again. He doe have some cuts and scraped on his pads, but other than that is in one piece.

He is now back safely in his foster home and happy to be there! He is also for adoption and looking for a family to see him through the development he needs.

New Arrivals - Milo and Otis

These 2 month old adventurers were found wandering in Angrignon park. How they got out in the middle of a park alone remains a mystery, but now they are in the warm arms of Eleven Eleven. The two are males, have been dewormed, and just recieved their first round of vacines. The next step? Finding homes for these adorable little wild cats.

New Arrival - Mommy + 4 kittys!

We were asked for assitance when a kitty suddenly had 4 kittens Sunday in a shelter (A.M.R Animal Services and Boutique). A shelter is no place for a mommy to have kittens, or for kittens to be raised. So we took her in and will be placing her in a loving, comfy foster home where she can raise her babes with peace of mind.

The kittens will be for adoption in 8 weeks; one orange tabby, 2 tortoise shells and one dilute tortoise shell. The mom will be place once the kittens are, a beautiful orange tabby.

Rocky - New Arrival

MEET ROCKY

Age: Young
Sex: Male/Neutered
Breed: Boxer
Size: Large (72lbs)
Date Rescued: December 8th 2009
Not Recommended: Children under 14

Reason rescued: Rocky was going to be euthanized after being to much to handel in the household with kids.

I like: Long walks on the beach, candle lit dinners. Well long walks, and my kibble does just fine. I am a Boxer; you know what comes with boxers? Energy! Yes – energy, I got it! No more than an average boxer though, and I know when its down time. But when its go-time oh boy can I go! I like to play, and run, and have long walks.. you know, like any dog really.

I Dislike: Being homeless for one. I also do not get along great with other dominant type dogs, because I can be dominant myself with other dogs – we would not mesh well. Also I was raised in a family with kids.. but growled at them once for what ever reason (who doesn’t lose patients with kids now and then). To be on the safe size, I should never be trusted around kids – ever.

Hobbies and Interests: Giving and received lots a love, attention, play time, long walks, the usual.

Looking for: A warm loving home. I need a strong experienced owner who can keep me in-line, because I am a strong hardheaded dog (comes with the breed). However I respond GREAT to the little bit of training I have had, I just need someone who can keep up with it and wont let me get out of had.

To the Point:  Now that you have got to know me a little bit, lets get to the point. I am a fantastic dog, and full of brains. I am a quick learner and very eager, you give me a little training and ill take it the whole 10 yards. However that goes the other way as well, give me a little slack and I will also take that the whole ten yards. I need someone that knows dogs, knows how to train dogs, and knows large breeds. I am too big of a boy to get the slack to be let out of hand. Because of my history with kids, I should not be trusted with them. Other than that, I am happy go-lucky and ready to spread my excess amount of love with you.
