NAYA

Attention all large breed dog lovers! Naya is is giant schnauzer x bouvier des flandres she is a true gentle giant. She was rescued a while ago because she was brought in to a vet clinic to be euthanized for diarrhea. Since then she's grown into a large, beautiful, diarrhea free girl. It's a miracle what a proper diet can do.

The problem she's having know is the because she is surrounded by other pets (cats, birds, rabbits) that she wants to eat! Her anxiety level has become so high she just can't relax. As much as her owner loves her, they really feel Naya would do better in a home with another dog maybe, but no other pets. Her anxiety is primarily expressed in barking. Training, citronella collars, sonic collars, medication, nothing works she only barks when the other animals... well.. do anything. Along with the help of a behaviorist it is believed that if her circumstances changed the barking would not be an issue anymore. When she's not barking she cuddles like the best of them, sleeps a lot and is a never ending supply of love.

Naya loves taking long walks in the woods or with her gentle leader. She's not a swimmer but enjoys getting her feet wet. She has an ongoing battle with car sickness, but she's mastered short drives, medium length drive are good too as long as she hasn't eaten.

Naya is a great dog she deserves the best, something her current owner cannot provide for her.
If anyone thinks they might be the right home for this girl please contact blue.bunny@live.ca

Maybeline adopted!

Maybeline (now Lulu) was dumped at a shelter at 7 months old, where she spent 2 months in a cage until we picked her up. She then spent 2 months with us in a (fantastic!) foster family, and finally 4 months later and now 11 months old.. she was adopted. She is finally able to be the puppy she had to put on hold, and i think its safe to say she looks very happy in her new home.

Brittany Adopted!

Brittany finally found her forever home. She was abandoned in an house when her previous owner moved away. He took the cute little new puppy, and left Brittany and another dog behind in the house for god knows how long. Because the city does not have a pound, she was brought straight to a clinic to be euthanized. We picked her up from the clinic, about 2 hours outside of Montreal.. and took her into our care. She has since worked through her separation anxiety, fear issues with men, and other little details. She blossomed into one of the most wonderful dogs we have ever had the pleasure of saving, or meeting.

Yesterday was HER day, we brought her to her new home over and hour east of Montreal. She will now be spending and sharing her life with her new friend a Great Dane! The new family is looking forward to including her in the obstacle classes they do with their current dog. She has a nice house, with a big yard to run in now. Her days of being and underdog are OVER.

Ginny Adopted!

Last weekend we made the trip to Vermont to bring Ginny the mother of 6 Husky puppies to HER forever home.

After a few wrong turns, getting lost, and crappy weather, Ginny (and us) made it to her adoptive home in one piece! A fresh start to a whole new life. Thank you to everyone, supporters, contributors and especially the Montreal SPCA Emergency Shelter volunteers for helping her get to this point.

She is a very loving and nurturing home, with a lot of space to run and finally just be able to enjoy life.

Her new mom says:

Hi Caroline,

She’s doing great, getting used to Vermont and our home. She is a joy to us and I think she has that figured out already.
She is too funny when she doesn’t want to pay attention to us. As I expected with a husky, Ginny definitely has a mind of her own.
She is a challenge, but a good one and we couldn’t enjoy her more!

She is also eating well, we have licensed her and she has an appointment with a local vet.
Thanks so much for bringing her into our lives.

Cola - Adopted!

Cola, the last of Ginnys puppies has gone to his forever home and is having a blast. He is finally a part of a big family with a whole lotta love to share. Might we also say, what stunning puppies Ginny had! They are all over 20 pounds and 3 months old, which means they will be up to 60 lbs fully grown. Ginny is hardly 40lbs!! How on earth did she manage to have, and raise 6 puppies who are going to be 60 + pounds. My goodness Ginny!! Ginny will be going to her new home in Vermont this weekend.

Daisy - Adopted!

Daisy has been adopted into a loving family this weekend, where she can finally get all the love and affection she deserves and seeks. She was rescued at 6 weeks old in the middle of winter after being locked on a balcony because she was not house trained. She blossomed from a terrified, scared little puppy into a spunky pup full of life and energy.

Alaska, Sprite and Moshi - Adopted

Baby Dewey Finds His Forever Home!

This Wednesday, our lovable little survivor Dewey left his foster to go to his forever home! Now Crosby, he is settling in as a part of his new family. His follow-up appointment was at Rive Sud last Thursday where the doctor informed us that the elbow is healing well and he should be able to make 100% recovery. After only two weeks since surgrery, Crosby's leg is looking almost brand new. He just has to get use to walking on it without that huge bandage! Crosby's new family is wonderful and we are so happy to see him end up in a responsible and loving home where all his needs will be met with affection and commitment. A big thank you once more to everyone who contributed and helped save this little guy's life! Another happy tail for this abandoned pup and for Eleven Eleven Animal Rescue.

Tango - Adopted

Tango was finally adopted today and will be enjoying his life with his new active owner, exactly what he needed. He was bought at a pet store impulsively as a puppy and like most pet store puppies found himself getting dropped off at the local shelter a few months later. Like most shelters, it was already full to the bring with dogs so Eleven Eleven chose this lucky pup to pull and put into a foster. He shared his time with us in with his other foster pup Charlie, and evolved into a well behaved and well rounded dog. We all fell in love with him, mainly Charlie and are happy to have helped him find such a loving and well deserved home. He can finally be rest assured he has found his final destination. Good luck Tango and his new companion human, Steven!

Nikki - Adopted

Nikki was picked up as a stray and dropped off at Animal Control. No owner in sight and the shelter at its brims we took on Nikki and placed her in a loving foster home. Nikki was a very nervous pup when we first met her, had no idea where to hide or who to trust. In his care she blossomed into an affectionate, playful, happy go lucky puppy. Her foster home actually found the adoptive home for her, and a great one at that. Nikki is now a part of a family, and enjoys going to the office everyday with her new dad and the other office dogs. Not to mention getting the run of their big backyard.

Bandit - Adopted

Bandit was dropped off by his owner at a clinic to be euthanized because he did not have the energy to take care of him anymore. Bandit's previous owner did not realize getting a puppy in his old age was not the best idea; unfortunately Bandit almost paid the price for his bad decision. Eleven Eleven had 48hours notice, to find a foster home, get him picked up from the clinic which was over an hour outside of Montreal and save him. Thankfully he was saved last minute, and put him into a foster... who has fallen in love with him and chose to adopt!! He is a GREAT dog, they could not have even tried to find a better behaved dog. His previous owner in short is a loser, and lost out on this jem.

Curly Adopted

Curly has come a long way from where he started! An unwanted litter left on the balcony to freeze to death when the owners moved, wound up in a pound and was shortly on death row once his time was up. He is now in a fantastic, loving, active house hold with kids, a country house, an older doggy brother.. the works! Curly his the jack pot with his new home, and we are very happy to have been able to rescue such a great little pup!

Good luck Curly, you have a whole life ahead of you now!

Kodie (Now Ti-Jack) Update

The picture speaks for itself :P - he is doing great!

This is what his new mom said:

"Kodie is already getting along with his new daddy :) They make a wonderful team. Thanks again to eleven eleven animal rescue, and specially to Caroline and Leigh, who helped us finding the dog of our dreams :) Thank you so much ♥"

Kodie - ADOPTED!

This little tyke set a new record at 11-11, he was adopted and we have 5 adoption applications within 48 hours of posting him! However this lucky boy was adopted within 'the family' by a freind and co-worker of 11-11 at an affiliated veterinary clinic. He has already settled himself into his new home, and their hearts.

Leyla - ADOPTED

Leyla was adopted today into a fantastic family (to say the least). We are very excited for her to have found such a great family. She has a whole long life ahead of her with them and we know it will be filled with a whole lot of love. Leyla has hit the jack-pot with them, and so have they with her. One more happy tail!

Porscha Adopted!

Porscha was rescued in November and after 4 months has now bee ADOPTED! She is a true survivor and was the vicitim of for profit breeding. Because of the negelctful conditions she was kept in and poor genetics Porscha has NO tear production. She arrived with leathery dry eyes, the docotors did not even belive they would be able to recover. But this little mircale worker, worked her maigic along with intensive eye treatments and a fantastic foster mom Porscha slowly regained her vision! She however will never have tear production, and for the rest of her life will always be on eye ointments. Even with that Porscha was able to find an EXCEPTIONAL home, with a new sister! She is one lucky pup and is now finally getting the second chance at life so many people have fought for her to have. Thank you to her beyond amazing foster mum Leesa, and the amazing adoptive home who looked past her special needs and what what we all saw, just Porshca a perfect little flawless pup.

***Porscha was resturned to the rescue, see here.
